I recently photographed a honeymoon photoshoot on Miami Beach for Ali & Bell. Here's a look at how I cover a honeymoon session from start to finish as a Miami Beach honeymoon photographer.

The Setup


For honeymoon sessions with a setup, I love to get there a little early to discuss some details with the couple before getting started. This shoot had a dreamy boho cabana with red and white roses, velvet pillows, and a little "Our Honeymoon" chalkboard sign. These details make a South Florida honeymoon photography session feel like something intentional and really fill up the frame beautifully.

Lifeguard Towers


My sessions rarely end where they start, especially if we're doing a Miami Beach photography session. After we finished taking photos at our couple's setup, we took Miami Beach lifeguard tower photos just a few steps away.

Enjoying the Shoreline


After the lifeguard towers, we walked down toward the water where I shot a mix of posed and candid photos. You can't shoot a Miami Beach photo session without  actually getting in the water!

Golden Hour Portraits


We (almost) wrapped up the session as the light turned golden, with a few close, romantic portraits on the sand.

The Goodbye Shot


As I was about to pack up, I noticed a family on the beach flying a kite. I always like to add on a unique shot or two whenever there is an opportunity. So, I set up my couple in the foreground to frame the kite and grab one last photo to remember the day by.
