There's been a recent surge in interest in surprise proposal photos at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, FL. As a matter of fact, the last four surprise proposal photoshoots in Miami I shot were at Vizcaya.  But I've talked plenty about the proposals already. Vizcaya is also an amazing site for engagement photos. So, I thought I'd give some love to the engagement photoshoot side of things in this blog post and show you exactly what that kind of session could look like for you.

Start at the Gazebo


The green gazebo is Quinceañera and couples central. Expect potential lines and wait times here. But don't miss it! I always suggest heading there first thing in the morning during our shoot so as to not miss the opportunity for iconic Miami engagement photos here.

Make Your Way Across to the Bay


To make the best use of our time during your engagement photoshoot in Miami, you'll want to hit each spot in order. That way, we get as many photos as possible at Vizcaya. There's a lot to see and plenty of beautiful backdrops. You don't want to miss any of them!

Stairs, Paths, Nooks, and More


We can easily spend two hours or more on an engagement photos at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. I'll happily book clients for two hours. But, let's be real... Most of us are more than happy with the photos we can achieve in one hour. I'll guide us through the entire grounds and show you around so that we can both pick the nicest spots based on your preferences.

The Casino


At the far west end of Vizcaya, there's a beautiful spot that stands elevated over the rest of the park. While the structure there (called "The Casino") is currently under construction, the courtyard right in front of it is open, and I love capturing couples from below and above in this area.
